The poster is an incredibly moving photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge on a somewhat foggy day. Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge across the Golden Gate Street, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The bridge was opened on May 28, 1937, and is 2,737 meters long with a bridge span of 1,280 meters. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Frommer's travel guide describes the Golden Gate Bridge as "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world." Really nice to have in, for example, the living room! Combine with any of our other posters for a nice collage!
